Rick Ormsby is the Managing Director at Unbridled Capital. With 20+ years of experience in franchise investment banking, Mr. Ormsby has worked on hundreds of franchise M&A assignments representing billions of dollars in transaction value.

Mr. Ormsby began his restaurant career in finance, operations, real estate, and franchising at the Corporate Headquarters of Yum! Brands and KFC in Louisville, KY. Seeing the opportunity to provide advisory services privately to franchisees, Mr. Ormsby left KFC in 2005 and became an entrepreneur with the goal of helping franchisees in the financing or sale of their companies. It started small - with small assignments, small franchise clients, and big fears of whether it would succeed. Over the years, Mr. Ormsby’s successes and relationships grew at a remarkable pace, and he has now become recognized as a leading authority on franchise finance and is often asked to provide commentary on current events involving some of the world’s most renowned restaurant companies.

Mr. Ormsby holds a BS from Texas A&M University, an MS from the University of Illinois, and an MBA from Vanderbilt University. He also spent four years at the U.S. Naval Academy and is fluent in Spanish. Mr. Ormsby lives in Gulf Breeze, Florida with his wife Susan, and two kids Ally and Eric.
